Often, yes, when the apartment itself still clears your quality threshold. Grant would rather have a very good apartment in the area that best supports your work and life than a spectacular apartment that isolates you from the places you actually want to be. The exception is when the property difference is genuinely large—management, light, condition, floor plan or value can sometimes justify the location tradeoff.
